The ACUSD/ACOE Community Newsletter is a weekly communication from the Amador County Unified School District and Amador County Office of Education. The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our families, staff, and community members informed about our district!

News From the Community

Wishes from the Voices of the Youth Committee

The Voices of the Youth Committee at Argonaut High School wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season!

Voices of Ythe outh is a subgroup of the SSAY Coalition, which stands for Substance Solutions for Amador Youth.

School Board Updates

The next School Board meeting will take place on January 14, 2026, at the Amador County Administration Center located at 810 Court St. Jackson, CA 95642.

Please note the new meeting times:

ACOE Open Session will begin at 5:30 pm

ACUSD Open Session will begin at 7:00 pm

Celebrations

Family Gift Shopping 🎁

Last Friday, our Adult Transition program students went on their annual Christmas Shopping trip! Students created a shopping list for their families, added the necessary amount of money, and selected their desired items. This week, they will wrap the gifts they purchased.

Thank you to Amador Transit for helping our students reach their destination!

Holiday Book Exchange 📚

Students in Mrs. Golden's Kindergarten class participated in the annual Holiday Book Exchange this week! Each student brought a wrapped book to class and passed the books around in a circle to the music. At the end of the game, each student was able to unwrap the book they had ended up with and take it home.
