I am Mr. Trainor and I began teaching in 1990 – do the math! I have a bachelors in Theater Arts, and masters in Curriculum Development, Computer Aspects and Technology from CSUS.
Upon graduation, I traveled with the Royal Lichtenstein Circus as a juggler, mime, unicyclist, and acrobat touring the western United States. (Google “Dan Trainor, circus”). For five years prior to teaching, I ministered to youth at a parish in Saratoga, CA.
My bride, Sheryl and I are lifelong churchgoers. Sheryl is an Occupational Therapist and Spiritual Director; my daughter, Hillary, earned a masters and teaches special education in Berkeley, CA; my son, Ryan, graduated from Cal Tech with a PhD in astrophysics and teaches at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PN; and my daughter-in-law, Elle, has a masters in midwifery and serves the Amish. My friends and I hangout with the homeless of El Dorado County, and in free time I write poetry, dabble in theater, Skype with my grandson, Silas, and, with Sheryl, teach swing dancing in Placerville on Friday nights.
