Our Mission

Pine Grove Elementary STEM School is committed to advancing the abilities of all students by providing broad educational experiences. We encourage “personal best” with positive attitudes that reflect strong character both at school and within the community.

Our History

Pine Grove STEM School is a rural elementary school in the heart of Amador County located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California.

Located in the small town of Pine Grove, with a population of just under 3,000, the school serves students from transitional kindergarten through 6th grade. The rich history of Pine Grove has proven itself even in our small school. For years, students have come back to Pine Grove STEM School as parents and even grandparents. We pride ourselves on the small family-like culture with big world learning opportunities. We serve just under 300 students in classrooms that are engaging and student-centered. Our students at Pine Grove experience the world outside of our small county with things like zoo trips to Sacramento, farm trips to the valley, overnight trips to the coastal tide-pools, redwood forest, as well as overnight ship trip simulations in the San Francisco Bay, and even participate swing dancing competitions, sports and robotics competitions at UC Davis. We are that small-town school with BIG world experiences!
